In terms of audacity and singular bias, Puiforcat is not at its first attempt. The silversmith revived the fashion of the sterling silver tumbler, royal heritage fallen into disuse, to taste champagne or cognac. But also, has designed futuristic collections in collaboration with contemporary designers – Gabriele Pezzini’s high-tech kitchen knives, or American artist Donald Judd’s solid silver table service. We must also mention the master Jean Puiforcat who, in the 20s and 30s, invigorated brilliantly the style of the house with Art déco geometries.
