Kanmi

The new Kanmi tasting set was created by Spanish designer Tomás Alonso. Inspired by the sleek lines of Jean Puiforcat, he designed this collection using elementary geometric forms as the circle, the cone, the cylinder. Each cup has been carefully shaped to nestle in the palm of the hand. While the cups vary in profile, with some being more flared than others, they all hold the same volume of liquid. The carafe, meanwhile, is designed to serve four cups.

Originally conceived for serving sake, this set is equally suited to sharing other alcoholic beverages. The cups can also be used to present small savory or sweet bites to accompany the drinks.

A final surprise lies in the brightly colored disc adorning the exterior base of each piece. When placed on a table, the bases of these pieces radiate a halo of vivid color: pleasure is fleeting, memory is vivid.
