Silver Set 2025

The creation of the ‘Silver Set 2025’ drinking ensemble was entrusted to the British artist Rachel Whiteread. She began with an apparently ordinary material—corrugated cardboard—which she folded, rolled, and shaped into everyday objects.

By transforming the material and reversing its original function, she produced a water pitcher, tumblers, trays, and napkin rings. The artisans of the Puiforcat workshop then crafted these forms in sterling silver.

Between the two materials, the eye shifts back and forth, and the object emerges—enduring and unalterable like sterling silver, yet still bearing, in its grooves and tears, the imprint of the fragile cardboard from which it was born.
