- Puiforcat porcelain collections can withstand occasional machine washing. However, to preserve the beauty and brilliance of their decoration, hand wash them in soapy water with a soft, non-abrasive sponge. The black and red decor of the Initiales service is made to withstand machine washing. Nonetheless, we recommend using non-chlorinated detergents.
- Dinnerware enhanced with precious materials, such as the Cercle d’Orfèvre Argent collection, requires special care and should be cleaned exclusively by hand, using warm water and a soft sponge. No strong detergent should be used.
- Be careful not to leave acidic or dirty preparations—marinades, vinaigrettes, tea, or coffee—in your porcelain. Be sure to rinse it with hot water after use.

The Art deco style, while elegant rigors, arose in the vocabulary of the House between the two wars under the impetus of Jean Puiforcat, member of the fourth generation of the family. Artist of his time and visionary boss, he applied this art of skinning to his tableware, brocades, boxes or tea sets: the inventor of Art deco silversmithing, it's him.
