Butter spreader

Collection Noailles

This sterling silver reproduction is based on a model from Augsburg, Bavaria, a city once known for its silverwork. Behind its apparent simplicity lies a highly refined design, as evidenced by the delicate curve of the handle that is outlined in a fine thread and by the elegant flameshaped button on the bowl and tine.

Louis Victor Tabouret Puiforcat

The Noailles collection was inspired by a classic design from the private collection of Louis Victor Puiforcat. The aesthete owner was an expert at unearthing goldsmiths' pieces from auction houses, then re-editing the finest in his workshop. In this way, elegant Parisians at the beginning of the 20th century rediscovered a whole range of traditional skills that were gradually being threatened by industrialisation.
