The spirit of the Basque Country, a land beloved by Jean Puiforcat, is present in several of the Maison's collections. Including Etchéa - in the Basque language, “etxea” means house - a tea and coffee service designed in 1937 featuring the master silversmith's full Art Deco virtuosity. The sides of the pieces (tea pots, coffee pot, creamer) are sculpted with fine vertical fluting, while the rounded silver-plated metal bellies (also available in sterling silver upon request) make for a harmonious contrast with the rosewood handles adorned with metallic pearls. A refined dialogue between ultimate sophistication and utter sobriety.
